Dr. Bhavika Thakkar looks forward to building strong doctor-patient relationships and enjoys adding a smile to the patient’s face when they come to see her. She believes that, “Beauty is in the eyes of the beholder”.
Dr. Thakkar received her Bachelor of Dental Surgery in India in 2010 and practiced dentistry there until coming to the United States in 2011. Continuing her studies, she pursued Post-Graduation in Aesthetic Dentistry from State University of New York at Buffalo, a Fellowship In Advanced Education in Prosthodontics from University of Medicine & Dentistry, Rutgers’s New Jersey, and a Post-Graduation in Prosthodontics from New York University College of Dentistry. She has received an Excellence in Prosthodontic Teaching Award and has more than a decade of experience in Private Practice, along with 5 years as a Clinical Assistant Professor at UMKC.
Dr. Thakkar's main focus is in prosthodontics, providing a range of dental services with a specialization in full mouth reconstruction cases. She is an active member in numerous professional organizations such as American College of Prosthodontics (ACP), American Prosthodontic Society (APS), American Dental Association (ADA), and others, taking up leadership responsibilities.
In her free time, she enjoys spending time with family and friends, traveling, watching movies, listening to music, trying different cuisines, drawing, painting, dancing, and staying healthy. Dr. Thakkar also keeps herself busy by reading, watching videos, and conducting research on the latest trends in dentistry and prosthodontics.
